Animal Bodywork for Physical Balance & Mobility Support

Animal bodywork is a hands-on service focused on supporting physical balance, mobility, and comfort through structured manual techniques.

Each session is tailored to the individual animal based on their presentation, history, and physical needs at the time of treatment.

This service is primarily offered in-person and is best suited for animals within my travel service area.

How It Works

New clients are encouraged to reach out prior to booking to ensure appropriate fit and scheduling.

For returning clients, sessions may be booked directly based on availability.

Each session begins with a brief assessment of current condition before hands-on work begins.

What's Included

Sessions may incorporate a combination of:

  • Myofascial release techniques
  • Craniosacral-inspired work
  • Kinesiology taping
  • Meridian-based bodywork principles
  • Gentle posture and soft tissue support

Each session is adapted to the animal’s response and tolerance on the day of treatment.

Who This is For

This service may be appropriate for animals experiencing:

  • Mobility restrictions or stiffness
  • Recovery support following physical strain
  • Muscular tension or imbalance
  • Performance or workload-related stress
  • General physical discomfort or asymmetry

It is also appropriate for wellness maintenance in working or active animals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Equine, canine, and feline sessions vary in length depending on the animal and service type, typically ranging from 30–75 minutes.

No special preparation is required. It is helpful if the animal is in a calm environment where they feel safe and comfortable. A bit of exercise beforehand can help some animals calm faster.

Bodywork is supportive in nature and is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. It can be used alongside veterinary care when appropriate.

Yes. Travel availability depends on location and scheduling. Additional travel considerations and fees may apply.

Cats and dogs are welcome at my home location. Horses may be brought on-site if preferred, though I typically travel to the horse for convenience and practicality.

Frequency depends on the individual animal, their condition, and goals. Recommendations may be discussed after the initial session.

Yes. New clients are welcome but may be asked to complete intake or contact prior to booking to ensure appropriate scheduling.

Laws regarding animal bodywork vary by state. In many states, including Michigan, animal bodywork may be performed by trained practitioners outside of veterinary licensure, though regulations can differ depending on location.

This work is offered within the scope of applicable state guidelines and is intended as a complementary, supportive modality and not a replacement for veterinary care.
